Happy New Year to everyone.
Here's the Alders Pool in full flow today. This video was taken just downstream of the underwater croy (Willie's Croy) which you can clearly see. This Croy is about half way down the Alders Pool and produces a lovely broken flow that carries all the way down to the tail of the pool. In high water like what we have today the best chance of a fish is in this broken stream. Salmon love to sit in here for a breather having swum up through the very heavy water of our Island Pool below. There are some good stones on the riverbed all the way down this pool.
