Here's Jason Liffen on day 3 of his salmon fishing career having just landed a poweful River Tay Spring salmon of 13 lbs from the untouchable Junction Pool of the Lower Kinnaird Beat. Jason's fine Springer came to a size 11 copper bodied cascade of his ghillie's preferred dressing and it just goes to show what is possible when you hire a top quality salmon fishing guide & Speycasting instructor !!!! Both of the Liffen brothers have struck silver on the fly within 72 hours of touching a salmon fly rod. Very well done to both of you and for releasing your first salmon and haste ye both back. After a morning's intensive Speycasting tuition delighted Ed Pott lands his first ever salmon on the fly from the outstanding Fir Trees pool on the Lower Kinnaird beat of the Tay. Exceptionally well done Ed and it just goes to show how deadly the fly is when you know how to present it to the river correctly.
