These are a few classic shots of 'Willie' who was the Newtyle Ghillie for over 50 years (and his father before him). I photographed these from the original photographs which are still displayed inside the Newtyle fishing hut. I was lucky to spend many years in his company as a youngster and used to sit in awe of his stories of epic battles with big Tay salmon on Newtyle.
