Many salmon are now spawning on the beat as you can see on these photos taken today. The very cold temperature of last night and today seem to have got them finally going about their business.
Of the 5 salmon I caught last Tuesday for the Tay District Salmon Fishery Boards hatchery program 3 of the fish were absolute bars of silver and likely not to spawn for many weeks yet.
