Here's Gordon Pollock (Newtyle Ghillie) with the product of his very first cast in the 'Steps Pool' this afternoon. This fine springer took a black & gold 'flying C'. Gordon & Robert had been up fishing the Tummel for the day when I managed to persuade them to come down to Newtyle for a cast on their way home. It's great to have a good head of springers holding on the beat as the water levels settle at just under 2 ft on the gauge. Prospects are looking good and a few rods are still available for next week. To book a rod on the Newtyle Beat Click here.
