Here's Newtyle fisher Allan Rennie with his perfect 22 lbs sea-liced Tay springer. The fish was caught in 'The Steps' pool around 3.30pm and took a pearly pink tomic lure from the boat. There were also springers moving through the beat just before lunchtime today and one of our bank rods lost a fine fish just above 'The Boil' on the fly. This specimen springer was Allan's best ever and full marks to him for playing this very powerful salmon so well.
