Here's Newtyle regular Alex McLean with his lovely fish which he hooked in the Alder's Pool at 4 pm today. This salmon took a harled pearly pink tomic lure and as you've seen gave a great account of itself. The river rose to 3 1/5 ft this morning but had settled back to 3ft by 5pm. This means that the next few days should be excellent and there's space for anyone who is looking for some salmon action. Click here to book a rod.
