Here's an old fish that was caught by Colin Pringle this afternoon. Colin's fish took a bright orange kynoch at the Dean's Burn. The fish was safely returned - well done Colin.

Here's James Gunning with his fly caught salmon this afternoon on Newtyle. The fish took a no 7 park shrimp which shows just how deadly they are as this fish clearly has been in the river for a while & seen plenty other flies. Well done James.

Newtyle Beat Water Gauge Today
Here's today's water level. Nick Bailey who is a long standing Newtyle Beat regular hooked and landed a lovely clean 10 lbs hen fish in the Ferry Pool earlier this evening. Nick's fish took a silver & copper toby and was released back to the Tay. Well done Nick.

16 lbs Salmon Landed Today On Newtyle
Here's Newtyle regular Alex McLean with his lovely fish which he hooked in the Alder's Pool at 4 pm today. This salmon took a harled pearly pink tomic lure and as you've seen gave a great account of itself. The river rose to 3 1/5 ft this morning but had settled back to 3ft by 5pm. This means that the next few days should be excellent and there's space for anyone who is looking for some salmon action. Click here to book a rod.

Newtyle Beat Water Gauge Today
Here's the river today showing a 6 inch rise from yesterday. We were lightly fished today yet still produced a 10 lbs salmon from our 'Ferry Pool' which was caught by my good friend Greg Price of Birnam. Greg who popped down for a 30 minute cast caught his fish on a silver 20 grm toby and returned the fish quickly to the river. Very well done Greg.
