Here's Newtyle regular Alex McLean with his lovely fish which he hooked in the Alder's Pool at 4 pm today. This salmon took a harled pearly pink tomic lure and as you've seen gave a great account of itself. The river rose to 3 1/5 ft this morning but had settled back to 3ft by 5pm. We were lightly fished today yet still produced a 10 lbs salmon from our 'Ferry Pool' which was caught by my good friend Greg Price of Birnam. Greg who popped down for a 30 minute cast caught his fish on a silver 20 grm toby and returned the fish quickly to the river. Very well done Greg.
