Here's how the tail of 'The Trap' was looking earlier today. After the recent high water it's good to start seeing our lovely fly streams appear again as the water levels settle back down (2ft 10 inches on our gauge today). My great friend Tony Black (Ghillie) had 2 springers today on Murthly just downstream of Newtyle and I saw some runnng fish coming through the bottom of our beat at around 4pm today. Hopefully tomorrow we will make contact with yet another hard fighting Tay 'springer'. For more information on the Newtyle Beat Click here.
