This is an absolute success story of a river for rising catches through effective river management and good strategy. Through my contacts I can access some prime Spring weeks on the Forss so anyone who fancies a trip up north for a certain springer should give me a call without delay.

With all the wear and tear a vehicle takes on the riverbanks of Scotland this new Isuzu 4X4 should be up to the task for a few forthcoming seasons. Equiped with a luxury leather interior and a 3.0 litre engine this vehicle drives beautifully. I would highly recommend this model to anyone who is in the market.

Look at this for a specimen 55 lbs salmon !!!!!!! This beast was caught in the River Awe in the early 1900's and in those days these gigantic salmon frequented the Awe and many other Scottish rivers.

Anyone who is interested in the future wellbeing of the riverine habitats of the Tay should accompany me to the official launch of this groundbreaking initiative on the 22nd of September in Killin. As a founder member I would like to state that it is vital that this huge habitat evaluation survey (of 1000 miles) now follows through with meaningful habitat restoration projects. Contact me on 07968 145033 if you would like to attend.

As of today this beautiful former ghillie's cottage on one of the most productive pools on the River Tay is my new home. My strong and developing business relationship with the Kinnaird Estate has been recognized by their management and they have very kindly made available this great base for me to operate from. Needless to say there will always be a welcoming dram for any visitors on the basis that you give me at least 1 minute's notice !!!!!

Here's a couple of salmon resting up in one of the many concrete pools of the Pitlochry dam fish pass. While it's nice too see salmon holding in a pool like this it has always saddened me to see the absolute destruction to the river environment that hydro electric power generation has caused especially on the River Tummel system.
