We were very fortunate today to have one of the most famous & legendry Tay ghillies Mr Colin Leslie (Cargill Ghillie 50 years) on Newtyle today. Colin has landed more salmon over 40 pounds than any other Scottish fisherman along with an estimated 40,000 salmon during his lifetime on the Tay. Clearly today the salmon knew Colin was coming to Newtyle hence the fish caught on our beat today. Colin's new book titled 'Scotland's Salmon King' is now out which makes a fascinating read and is available through Amazon. Click here for more information.
