Here's John McKeown after taking his 4th cast ever !!! following an intensive Spey casting lesson this morning on the unbeatable Junction Pool of the Lower Kinnaird Beat. John's grilse was released following a very lively scrap. John's salmon has been the fastest ever fish hooked by total beginner this season under my guidance and as you've seen on this blog there has been many newcomers achieving success on their first salmon fishing trip. Brilliantly well done John.

Perfect Grilse From The Tay Today

Here's Keith Lawrence with an absolute topper of a grilse which he skillfully hooked and landed on the stroke of 5 pm today in the superb Junction Pool of the Lower Kinnaird beat of the River Tay. This was Keith's first fly caught River Tay salmon on his first ever day fishing on the Tay. Exceptionally well done Keith.
